SoutheastCon 2009 is being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Ravinia in Atlanta, Georgia, and is located just 14 miles north of downtown, and 24 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL).

About the Dunwoody Area
The Crowne Plaza Hotel at Ravinia is located near Perimeter Mall in Atlanta's scenic Dunwoody neighborhood. To assist in travel and recreational planning, a map of locations relevant to SoutheastCon 2009 attendees has been posted here. As the conference date approaches, this map will be continually updated with new information and additional references to local sights.

Transportation
Car
Parking is readily (and freely) available in the Dunwoody area, including at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Traffic can be extremely bad in the morning (6:30-9:30 AM) and afternoon (4:00-7:00 PM), however, so plan carefully!
To travel to the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Ravinia from the airport, follow these steps:
- From the rental car pickup at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, take Interstate 85 North for 14 miles until you reach Exit 87 - Georgia Highway 400.
- Proceed on GA-400 north for 6 miles (Note: there is a $0.50 toll between exits 2 and 3), and take Exit 4A - Interstate 285 east.
- Continue on I-285 east to the first exit, Exit 29 - Ashford-Dunwoody Road.
- Turn left at the end of the offramp and proceed through the first intersection.
- The Crown Plaza Hotel at Ravinia will be on the right at the next light (Hammond Drive/Ravinia Drive).
Public Transportation
From the Airport
The Crowne Plaza Hotel at Ravinia is accessible directly from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport via the MARTA system, which runs every day between 5:00 AM and 1:00 AM. The fee is $1.75 per trip (plus a one-time fee of $0.50 for the Breeze Card used to store fares); free transfers are available between buses and trains.
To reach the hotel from the Airport (S7) MARTA station, catch a train headed for North Springs (N11), and get off at the Dunwoody (N9) stop. (Note: Direct routes between the Airport and North Springs stations may not be available between 8:00 PM and 1:00 AM; in this case, catch a train headed for Doraville (NE10), and exit the train at the Lindbergh (N6) station. From the Dunwoody MARTA station, it is a short 1/4 mile (0.4 km) walk to the Crowne Plaza Hotel; a bus transfer is also available hourly between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.
- To take the bus: board Bus Route 150. Call for a stop after passing the first traffic signal; the Crowne Plaza Hotel is at the corner of Ashford-Dunwoody road and Hammond Drive.
- To walk: Exit the MARTA station via the Hammond Drive exit. Follow Hammond Drive to the left (east) through two traffic signals. The Crowne Plaza Hotel will be directly in front of you.

Taxicab
It is approximately 24 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to the Crowne Plaza Hotel at Ravinia. Taxicabs are available directly outside the airport baggage claim; fare will probably be between $50 and $60.
