Paper Submission

Before submitting a paper to SoutheastCon 2009, please make sure you have reviewed the Call For Papers as well as the information contained in the Authors' Kits:

Accessing the paper submission site
The paper submission site is located at the following location:

To submit a paper, first visit the paper site located at https://papers.sec09.com. When accessing this site, you may receive an error message similar to the following:
If this string is the same as the one displayed, you may safely accept this certificate.
This message appears because the certificate used for this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority; ordinarily, you may simply hit "OK" to continue. Once you have accepted the certificate, you will arrive at the main paper site shown below:
Note that you will need to register through the website in order to submit papers. To create a new user account, type your e-mail address in the e-mail space, select I’m a new user and want to create an account using this email address, and press Sign in. You will see a message stating that a new account has been created and the password has been sent to the e-mail address. Upon signing in for the first time, you will be asked to update your contact information. After signing in, click on the Start New Paper link to begin the submission of a new paper. If you have already submitted a paper, the paper, paper title, and paper status will be shown underneath the Start New Paper link. The Paper Submission screen is shown below:
To submit your paper, please fill out the information in each field. Please note that the site will only accept papers in PDF and Microsoft Word .DOC format. As the Technical Review Committee will be judging the paper, please keep the abstract to 200 words or less. Select any relevant topic areas which apply (multiple topics can be selected). Finally, if there are members of the Technical Committee that may have conflicts of interest with the paper, please select those members. This information is used only to ensure that these members will not judge the paper. Selecting a Technical Committee member for conflict of interest will not affect the scoring from other judges. After filling out all information, select Register paper.
Following a successful submission of the paper, you will see the following message and receive a confirmation e-mail:
Note that you may update your paper until the deadline of December 1, 2008. After December 1, 2008, the paper may not be updated.
